Hello all you Attack!(ers) out there. It's closing in on the beginning of another season for the boys. Spring is in the air, and so are some surprises.
The coaches have high expectations for the young lads, and hopefully the current futsal season will pay dividends in the spring. High pressure immersion therapy has been the prescription this winter season. Many of the players have tried new positions that they are not generally used to. The hope has been to further broaden the scope and knowledge of the "whole game" aspect for these youngsters. Along with the idea that soccer is a fun and energetic game, it offers a wide range of tactical, technical, and emotional opportunities for growth. Getting outside of our comfort zone is a good thing, even if it isn't recognizable in the moment. Hopefully, the boys are not discouraged by the numbers on the scoreboard, and realize the winning aspects they are learning in defeat. Failure can be our greatest teacher. Surely that's a famous quote, although I know not from whom.
Full practices will begin soon, so here's hoping for warm, dry evenings and many good wishes to you and yours.
See you soon.
