A rude awakening was in store as the W75 ATTACK began the new campaign. After a long delay from the shortened spring season, through summer, and a number of false starts in the fall, the boys are finally back at it again.
The season opener began with a thud as the shell-shocked ATTACK fell flat in the first half, trailing 5-1 after 30 minutes. A solid 2nd half, and a late PK saw the lads finish a 2-6 loss with some confidence.
That confidence was in full display during the next 4 games as the young men were able to defeat teams from RealWC, Lou Fusz, St. Charles, and Kirkwood. The 4-1 start has the ATTACK climbing the standings, and currently seated in 3rd place out of 12 in the Championship Division.
A pleasant surprise for the ATTACK had arrived over the summer as well. Two additional teams(both headed by Coach Seth Wilber) have joined the W75 family. The younger team is on fire, and running wild over opponents week in and week out. The older team is another U11 team that currently plays in the 3rd Division. The Phantoms, as they are known, have had wonderful start to their season and currently sit in 2nd place, with eyes on advancing to Div 2 next season.
The weather has begun to change, and hopefully the cooler air will see all three teams from the organization continued success along the way.
Go W75!
